An original educational anatomical torso formerly used by Oxford Brookes University, hand-marked to the base “Oxford Brookes University S.O.E. Science”.

This detailed medical teaching model features a removable sectioned head with brain components, exposed musculature and skeletal anatomy, along with the thoracic and abdominal cavities showing the lungs, kidneys and major blood vessels. Originally produced for classroom and laboratory teaching, the model has since acquired the character expected from years of academic use.

Please note this example is incomplete, with several removable organs missing, and displays cosmetic wear and marks consistent with regular educational use. Despite this, it remains an impressive and highly decorative piece, ideal for collectors of medical antiques, cabinet of curiosities displays, gothic interiors or film and theatre props.

A fascinating survivor from a university science department with genuine institutional provenance.
