A scarce first edition of W. E. Butler’s influential Apprenticed to Magic, published by The Aquarian Press, London in 1962.

Regarded as one of the classic introductory works on the Western Mystery Tradition, Butler guides the reader through meditation, visualisation, the Qabalistic Tree of Life and the foundations of ceremonial magic. Written in an approachable style, it remains an enduring title for students of esoteric philosophy and the occult. 

This example retains its original dust jacket, showing age-related wear and rubbing consistent with its age. The book is complete and sound, though a previous owner has underlined passages throughout the text in red ink, making it better suited as a reading copy than a pristine collector’s example. The internal pages are otherwise clean and the binding remains firm.
