Vintage F. Thackray Ltd Haemorrhoid Injection Syringe Set – Stainless Steel Medical Instrument

An original mid-20th century F. Thackray Ltd, Leeds stainless steel haemorrhoid injection syringe set, housed in its original fitted stainless steel sterilising case.

This fascinating medical instrument was designed for the treatment of haemorrhoids using injection sclerotherapy, a common procedure before the introduction of modern disposable equipment. The set includes the original reusable all-metal syringe with finger and thumb rings, fine injection needle, and interchangeable angled fittings, all neatly retained within the fitted case.

Manufactured by the renowned surgical instrument maker F. Thackray Ltd, this is an excellent example of British medical engineering and would make a superb addition to a medical instrument collection, museum display, or cabinet of curiosities.
