Humpty Dumpty Mechanical Coin Eater

Vintage Humpy Dumpty Mechanical Coin Eater – Reproduction

A wonderfully characterful reproduction of the classic Humpy Dumpty mechanical coin-eating clown.

Featuring an exaggerated painted face, pointed red hat, colourful costume, ruff collar and outstretched hands, the figure captures the wonderfully eccentric appearance of vintage mechanical coin-operated amusements.

The open mouth forms part of the original coin-eater design, with coins traditionally being placed into the figure’s mouth as part of the mechanism.

This example has a wonderfully aged appearance, with considerable wear, rubbing and losses to the original painted finish. The distressed surface gives the piece an authentic vintage character and adds considerably to its visual appeal.

A particularly unusual and entertaining piece of mechanical folk art, combining the charm of a vintage clown with the novelty of an old-fashioned coin-eating mechanism.

Condition: Vintage/reproduction condition with extensive age-related wear and paint loss. Please study all photographs carefully.
