A fine early 20th-century solid cast figure of Our Lady of Lourdes, dating to approximately 1900–1935. The statue depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary in her traditional Lourdes form, with hands joined in prayer, a flowing rosary hanging from her arm, and the characteristic roses at her feet, standing upon a stylised rocky base.

Cast in a heavy copper-alloy metal, most likely brass or bronze, the figure has a rich bronzed finish with an attractive aged patina and small areas of natural verdigris, consistent with genuine age. Unlike many later hollow or lightweight devotional figures, this example is a substantial solid casting, weighing an impressive 1.092 kg despite standing just 18 cm (7 inches) high.

The underside has been ground flat after casting, indicating quality manufacture. No maker’s marks are present, which is not unusual for devotional figures produced for churches, chapels, convents and private prayer altars during the early 20th century.

A beautifully weighted and well-preserved devotional sculpture, ideal for collectors of ecclesiastical antiques, Catholic art, Gothic interiors, or cabinets of curiosities.

Condition: Good antique condition with honest age-related wear, light verdigris, and no visible repairs or maker’s marks.
